The arrest and detention of Hon Sudi by police is a blessing, his popularity hits the sky, to be re-elected

September 17, 2020 2 Comments

I am not privy to the nitty gritty of Sudi’s case, but the last time I checked, even murder was bailable
An injustice doesn’t cease to be one because it is meted on an adversary or someone you do not agree with, politically etc
I do not mean he is innocent and should be left alone, but I wonder why the law seems selective, as we’ve seen even more serious offenders being released in bail. In any case incitement if left unchecked can have devastating consequences on this country
Could this be for the drama that created when the cops went to arrest him? If that’s the case then he has himself and his restless neighbours to blame for his predicament

On the other hand, having been detained for Wiliam Ruto, isn’t just a disadvantage. Going by the way Kenyans reasons, Sudi has just secured his third term with the incarceration

He is now a “freedom fighter” in the same league with Koitalel Arap Samoei. Even in Nyanza and Central, those who have performed dismally in their respective roles, can now erupt like a volcano, defending their tribal deity and they will be the first to be re elected, because voters are always confused
Communities will always appreciate a warrior defending them from enemies, because they never taken time to think. In reality there is no community enemy only that someone wants you to inherit his political competitors and take them as your enemies as a way of mobilising you to vote for him

Where is the specific transgression the Luos committed to the Kalenjin or the Kalenjin to the Kikuyu or the Kalenjin to the Luos or the Kikuyu to the Kalenjin?
None at all, but to mobilize one’s community and create a euphoria, one must be seen to be a staunch defender of his people and since his community has no enemies to be defended from, an imaginary one must be created
That’s why you will see a poor man chasing a fellow poor man, with a panga, with intentions of giving him a free throat surgery simply because he belongs to another tribe. Both men are poor because of actions and/in actions of the ruling elite, the same he is killing for

The sad reality is that if Rayila calls at Ruto’s gate, even this morning, they will allow him in and if Ruto visits Rayila, he will be allowed in, but if a Kalenjin hoi polloi, visits Ruto, he will never be allowed anywhere near the compound. If he insists,he will be shot dead, quickly and permanently. The same will happen if a Luo visits Rayila and if a Kikuyu takes his “kumira” kiherehere to State House
Why lie when we can say the truth?
