The National Super Alliance (NASA), now wants the Jubilee administration to assure the country that they will allow a free, fair and credible August 8 General Election that will reflect the voice of Kenyans.
NASA leaders, who were in Isiolo County to popularize their pact as well as campaign for the newly crowned opposition flag bearer, Raila Odinga, slammed President Uhuru Kenyatta-led administration of failing to control the country’s economy leading to high prices of basic commodities leading to suffering of common ‘mwananchi’.
Former premier, Raila Odinga, was critical of Jubilee’s failure to deliver on what they promised Kenyans during the 2013 presidential campaigns and chest thumping on projects launched by the then Grand Coalition Government led by former President Mwai Kibaki and himself.
“Even this airport it was Kibaki and I who started the project, they just came to launch. They came here the other day and promised you to build a tarmac road; if they did not build in four years, will they do so in two months? They are giving out ‘tende’ when Kenyans are dying,” said Raila.
Deputy president desgnate Kalonzo Musyoka, urged the Isiolo residents to vote for NASA saying that the opposition will transform the country.
“We want you people of Isiolo to vote 99% for NASA in August so that we can develop this county and Isiolo town. Please go and verify your IEBC registration to ascertain you are a voter,” added Kalonzo, who is also the Wiper Party leader.
NASA’s campaign in Isiolo comes just four days after President Uhuru Kenyatta led the Jubilee brigade to Isiolo in a rally that turned chaotic leaving one persondead and scores injured after supporters of gubernatorial candidates crashed.
NASA will be heading to Deputy President William Ruto’s Rift Valley turf in Baringo on Thursday, May 25.
