Basic Facts on Chaos that rocked Muliro Gardens during Hon Wetangula Presidential Launch

Before the Rally began,ODM TShirts were burnt and people beaten. That is not healthy in a coalition.

ODM has considerable support in Kakamega County and Western in general outside the influence of Wetangula and khalwale.

This support, influence and network has been built over many years of close relationship with local leaders in Western Province. Busia and Kakamega counties have ODM Governors all very close to Raila for many years.

Infact Raila has previously alluded to a very strong bond with luhyias especially those of Mumias area.(Read his story of Nabongo).
A presidential contender unveils his roadmap in the cosmopolitan Nairobi City. Not in a rural county like KK. Clearly Wetangula is seeking the Luhyia kingdom mantle.

Unfortunately it takes a lot to put the Vihiga,Kakamega,Busia and Bungoma people in one basket. They are sub-tribes of different interests.

Therefore there is no way Hon Wycliffe Oparanya who is a deputy party leader of ODM will be humiliated by another party in his own backyard and you expect Raila to watch.

Things were either going to be done with respect and all cards on the table or nothing was going to take place.

Finally the state machinery know where a tear gas could have come from in a public place…
Bonny Khalwale is a destabilizing figure in any outfit..

This is my reading of the Muliro garden’s mayhem of yesterday…
