On the Ugandan border Ugandan security personnel can enter Kenya, prevent voter registration by arresting IEBC staff with impunity.
On the Ethiopian border Ethiopian soldiers regularly cross into Kenya kill and abduct Kenyans with impunity.
On the Somali border Alshabab terrorists have made our Northern counties most insecure parts of the country while along our coastline we have to depend on the Australian navy to prevent entry of drugs and sophisticated arms into the country.
Several weeks since our military camp was overran by terrorists the government is unable to account for those killed. In the midst of all this our government is busy “disarming” duly elected governors. How worse can this get?
Unlike Uhuru and Kibaki who watched Museveni take Migingo Island from us,Mzee Jomo Kenyatta as a head of state played his role splendidly to preserve Kenya’s territorial integrity.
When the government of Somalia then led by president Osman Abdallah Hassan claimed Nothern frontier District plus people living in it,President Jomo Kenyatta dismissed Osman saying”not even an inch of Kenya’s territory would be ceded to Somalia”.He kept his word;Osman surrendered.
Then came Iddi Amin of Uganda who claimed part of Kenya all the way to Naivasha,Jomo Kenyatta dared Iddi Amin saying”The baboon will know I’m a son of woman”.
A head of state should act when territorial integrity and political independence of a country is being threatened.what is wrong with Uhuru?
For how long will these people be told that Migingo is in Muhuru Division,Nyatike sub-County,Migori county in the Republic of Kenya?!.
The deep waters surrounding that tiny island is rich in Nile perch,a special type of fish with high economic value. We will not leave Migingo for Museveni,a time is coming!.
