BIGGER PICTURE: WHAT the Garissa Campus TERROR ATTACK may mean

BIGGER PICTURE: WHAT the Garissa Campus TERROR ATTACK may mean

April 4, 2015 Leave a Comment

Here is another angle to the persistent Garissa and Mandera terror attacks by one Luanda Magere Ajele.

The attacks in Mandera and Garissa, coupled with rarely reported small attacks in Garissa on business establishments owned by Kenyans from “upcountry”, now mean that very few Kenyans offering non-essential services and those with light investments will want to go back to the North Eastern Area. Remember already Teachers employed by TSC are yet to back to Mandera since the night bus attack. Add that to the Grand Mullah’s assertion that this is the work of “local networks” and you begin to make sense out of it.

The Shifta may have failed many years ago in its secessionist agenda, but a tiny bunch of youths is achieving it with ease. Once other Kenyans refuse to go back to NEP, their economic secession will be nearly complete. Political and religious leaders might then start demanding political and administrative autonomy.
Alshabaab might just be a convenient name here, being used to cover a fierce secession movement.

Let us be truthful to ourselves. Kenyan Somalis and their leaders must stop the senseless killings in northern Kenya. Full stop…

The attack in Garissa is obviously the work of Kenyan Somalis. Let us not blame Somalia's alshabab. This is local..indigenous and v local.

Leaders in Garissa must take political responsibility for today's killings…and must identify the clan lineage of the killers. Full stop.

With or without devolution security and fighting shifta has always been the work of elders and clans…read the history of NFD.

When security of a region becomes clancentric instead of national centric u get Garissa and mandera.

Hopefully H E Uhuru government is on top of things and soon all terrorists elements will be eliminated
