If you thought SEX FOR JOBS was only happening in Nairobi, you are damn wrong. The Meru County Secretary Julius Kimathi has hired his girlfriend’s younger brother as the Director of Communication.
According to highly placed sources within the county, Kimathi hired Thuranira Thiane, a brother to Judy Gitimbu as the new director.
Judy is Kimathi’s secretary and an alleged longtime girlfriend.
Mr Kimathi is alleged to sexually harass his juniors. This behaviour dates back to his early days as the District Education Officer where he demanded for sexual favours from teachers for promotion or transfers and other junior staff.
In Meru County, he is alleged to have found sexual favours with Judy Gitimbu, his secretary and another lady by the name Judy Wanja who is the custodian of the County Registry.
Kimathi is alleged to have fallen out with former Director of Governor’s Press Unit Rosaline Gakii after she refused to afford him sexual favours. He in turn started frustrating her and eventually transferred her to a different department with no portfolio.
Mr Kimathi has also fallen apart with the County Public Service Board Secretary by the name Kagwiria who has also failed to heed his crooked ways.
Other member of staff who are alleged to have engaged in sexual relations with Kimathi include a lady called Dxxxxx, who works in his office, a lady by the name Lxxxxx, who is in charge of catering and a “close friend” to the governor, and the County Executive Committee member in charge of Education among others.
Despite all these people being married, they all engage in sexual relationships with Kimathi, a father of three. He was nicknamed a SEX PEST by teachers from Meru District during his tenure as the DEO after he orchestrated the transfer of a male teacher who he accused of having a sexual relationship with a female teacher he was eyeing.
