BREAKING: Raila In Court To Witness Sentencing Of CS Matiangi, IG Boinnet and Kihalangwe

Date:

‘People’s president’ Raila Odinga was at Milimani Law Courts on Thursday in a show of solidarity with the deported lawyer and NRM leader general Miguna Miguna

Raila however left shortly before proceedings into the sentencing of Interior CS Fred Matiang’i, Immigration PS Gordon Kihalangwa, and IG Joseph Boinnet for contempt of court.

Miguna was not presented to the court as earlier directed bring to 10 a total of orders disobeyed by government officers/agencies.

Raila had been pictured with businessman Jimi Wanjigi and law professor Makau Mutua and abatary of lawyers representing Miguna led by senior Counsel John Khaminwa.

Advocates and other judicial officers wore yellow ribbons in show of solidarity amid their demands for the government to respect court orders.

Justice George Odunga convicted the three officials on Wednesday and ordered that they appear in court today for sentencing.

DISOBEDIENCE OF COURT ORDERS

Court orders by the following judicial officers have been deliberately and or blatantly disobeyed in the Miguna saga:

1. Chacha MWITA, J;
2. Luka KIMARU, J;
3. Roselyne ABURILI, J; and
4. G.V. ODUNGA, J.

The Court should in today’s sentencing session send each of the three (3) respondents to long prison terms without the option of a fine, even in their absence, to serve as as warning and example to others.

Don’t ask me about who will take them to jail. That sentence shall already have an impact on the career of each of the respondents.
