OUTCRY: Activist Okiya Omtatah Arrested At Milimani Law Courts

Date:

Activist Okiya Omtatah has been arrested at the Milimani law court for failing to appear for hearing of a criminal matter.

Chief magistrate Francis Andayi ordered for his arrest in the case in which he is charged alongside other protesters.

Omtatah said he was following other matters at the High court and sent someone to tell the magistrate that he is held up.

It was then that the judge ordered his arrest. He has been taken to Kilimani police station. It was strange for the magistrate to order arrest of the activist since it is in public domain that he has several law suits running in various courts and thus should be given humble time to play his rightful role of a public eye.

Omtatah has challenged Uhuru’s move to appoint Chief Adminstrative Secretaries who are effectively assistant ministers.
