Revealed: Raila allies claim Ruto Mps want to impeach president Uhuru

Date:

Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohammed has stated that Deputy President William Ruto’s allies were plotting to impeach President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Addressing a press confrence, Junet stated that the DP’s allies were collecting signatures for the impeachment motion.

“It is our firm belief that the rationale of the Naivasha meeting was a dirty scheme by the Deputy President to undermine President Uhuru Kenyatta. It goes without saying that the hangovers of the Jubilee Party first term in office have not escaped the DP. He is running a parallel system whose only purpose is his desperation for power.

“We are aware their Naivasha agenda was not BBI. It was about impeaching President Uhuru Kenyatta. They collected signatures to ensure this happens. We are telling them, bring it on. We are ready,” he continued.

In addition, Junet alleged that the DP, through the Tangatanga MPs, was advocating for an increase in the Judiciary budgetary allocation for cases to be ruled in their favour.

“The only reason DP Ruto through his allies are pushing for increased allocation to the Judiciary is to win favour with the judiciary, in the hope that judicial officers will go easy on his corruption cases and those of his allies that are pending before various judges or magistrates,” Junet stated.

On Monday, January 27, Ruto allied legislators who had gone down to Naivasha for a retreat on Sunday, came out with fresh demands regarding all future BBI rallies.
