IEBC Forced To Cancel Meeting with NASA After Opposition Demanded For Clear Agenda, Chebukati Wanted to Ambush NASA

Date:

The electoral agency on Thursday canceled a meeting with NASA in what Senator James Orengo said was failure by IEBC to share the agenda of the meetinmg with NASA.

It is professional and also good practice to communicate agenda of any meeting with a reasonable time. It is obvious IEBC was only interested to ambushing NASA team and therefore scheduled meeting was not in good faith.

“Meeting with NASA officials this morning will be rescheduled to a new date to be announced,” IEBC said via twitter.

The Opposition was expected to hold a meeting with the commission to discuss issues on the October 17 presidential election.

On Tuesday, NASA chiefs expressed disappointment at Jubilee leader’s no-show for their scheduled meeting with IEBC officials.

But shortly after they addressed journalists and left, DP William Ruto arrived with leaders an indirect confirmation that Jubilee is working with IEBC to frustrate any meaningful discussions on preparations for October 17th election.
