DP Ruto cries over newspaper headline that revealed his evil plans against Raila Uhuru

Date:

Deputy President William Ruto, on Wednesday morning, put The Star newspaper on the spot over a story on the cover page.

Ruto referred to the publication’s cover story that was titled. ‘Ruto Allies Plot to Scuttle Uhuru-Raila Referendum’, as fake news.

According to the deputy president, it was uncouth of newspapers to use his name to sell stories, even when he was not involved in the said news.

He, therefore, took to his Twitter account, where he expressed his displeasure with the said newspaper.

He went as far as posting a screenshot of the paper’s cover page, as a warning to other newspapers that employ the same tactic to sell their stories.

Previously, on July 29, the country’s second in command called out The Standard newspaper for what he termed as fake news.

His attention was drawn to the cover story on the newspaper dated Monday, July 29, 2019, which was titled “Why Uhuru Avoided Ruto at the Airport”

The article claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta had jetted in from Zambia and dodged his deputy, who was waiting to receive him at the JKIA Presidential Pavillion.

Taking to Twitter, DP Ruto dismissed the story and explained that he had not gone to receive President Kenyatta at the airport when he jetted in.

“I was nowhere near JKIA. I am not surprised that some media houses and their owners are this desperate. Tuwasamehe tu (Lets forgive them)!!” Ruto posted on his Twitter.
