The AMAZING CHEMISTRY between Raila and Governor Joho, HOW it ALL STARTED

Date:

By J Kibor
GOVERNOR 001. JOHO has managed to elevate himself to the position of the 4th Principal in CORD and Raila’s heir in ODM. You might want to read again below;

DIEHARDS: After interment of Karisa Maitha in September 2004, there emerged a leadership vacuum at the Coast. In the ensuing by election, Kibaki sponsored Ananiah Mwaboza while Raila Odinga fielded a 28-year-old young man by the name Ali Hassan Joho. Joho lost but a seed had been sown.

Tinga had spotted potential. The two maintained political contact, a political investment that later on captured the Kisauni parliamentary seat in 2007. As the big boys shared the spoils of the Koffi Annan led Serena talks, Joho remained in the background, refining his skills and building his networks.

You see Coast have since-independence- felt excluded and oppressed by Kenya’s political elite based in Nairobi. It is this sentiment and reality that enthused young Joho’s revolutionary thinking. It wasn’t until 2012, that he found his way into the Coalition cabinet as assistant minister for transport.

Enough of the narration, here is what I am trying to say!

In politics, real leaders do a number of things; they see far, they see talent, and they nurture that talent, irrespective of the prevailing political circumstances. On the other hand, those that get opportunities to be nurtured should not turn their backs to those who make political sacrifices to bring up new leaders.

The Raila-Joho relationship will one day be studied and written about. While at it, can somebody find out where Ababu Namwamba is?
>>>>>>>>Well, prophetic, indeed!!
