If I suggested even remotely that today was a good day, I would be telling a white lie. Gor Mahia had raised my hopes for glory and it collapsed in spectacular fashion. That notwithstanding, they left with their heads high and we still look forward to a great season; K’ogalo is poised to win the league for the third season in a row. ‪#‎giniwasekao‬!
The fact that today was a bad day does not make me sad. I am naturally a happy guy and nothing puts me down. I can only be happy, happier or happiest. I can never be sad. It is why I look about ten years younger than my actual age. The secret to a long life is to be happy!
So all those sadists who thought that I would sulk because the London Aristocrats lost are mistaken. I am as sunny as ever!
But even if I wasn’t a naturally happy man, I would have no reason to be sad. It is because I took a lot of positives from the Arsenal v Chelsea match.
Moreover, this was merely a curtain raiser, a match Chelsea could afford to lose.
It was a good practice session for the boys against a team that gave their all! Our players looked fat after a long holiday celebrating the league victory. Arsenal on the other hand had nothing to celebrate, so the players did not gain any weight.
Number two, Chelsea put Arsenal in the back pedal for most of the ninety minutes. Chelsea was utterly dominant but Arsenal’s brand new humongous bus stood resolute. Now Chelsea is aware that Arsenal has acquired a bus and we are going to place an order for a break down vehicle to tow it away next time.
The result also has some relevance in religion and human rights. Long suffering Arsenal fans are not children of a lesser God. They also deserve to be happy for sure. It must not always be Chelsea. That is not fair!
So I congratulate Azam and Arsenal tonight. I congratulate Arsenal for investing in that bus. They did well for sure; sustaining that kind of pressure for ninety minutes is not easy. I tip Arsenal to finish third again this season if they can park the bus as they did today. I wish Arsenal well.
