Kenyatta University is set for a wave of excitement as global gaming giant PUBG MOBILE teams up with tech accessories brand Oraimo and streaming platform Boomplay for a three-day campus festival combining esports, music, and youth entertainment.
The event, which runs from October 22 to 24, is part of the Oraimo Campus Tour, a campaign aimed at engaging young people through gaming, creativity, and live performance. Organisers say the tour will transform the Kenyatta University grounds into a lively hub of competition, sound, and giveaways.
Students will enjoy performances from some of Kenya’s biggest names in entertainment, including DJ Lyta, Ssaru, Dyana Cods, Wenda Wazimu, Unspoken Salaton, and Ochingli The Goat. The three days will also feature brand activations, prize contests, and surprise appearances designed to keep the crowd energised.
Esports at the Heart of the Celebration
A major attraction of the festival will be the PUBG MOBILE Campus Tournament (Squad Edition). Teams of Kenyatta University students will face off in high-intensity matches for bragging rights and major prizes.
Winners will take home smartphones and powerbanks, with four phones each for the top two squads and powerbanks for the third-placed team. The competition is expected to draw a large number of gaming enthusiasts, reflecting the growing popularity of mobile esports across Kenyan universities.

A Blend of Music, Gaming, and Youth Culture
The collaboration between PUBG MOBILE, Oraimo, and Boomplay is being hailed as one of the most dynamic cross-brand youth initiatives of the year. It brings together music, gaming, and lifestyle under one roof creating an environment where young people can connect, compete, and celebrate creativity.
Gaming analysts say the move underlines how esports has become a powerful tool for brand engagement and youth communication in Kenya’s fast-evolving digital economy.
“This event represents the heartbeat of today’s youth innovation, fun, and connection,” one organiser told Kenya Today. “It’s more than entertainment; it’s a celebration of how technology and music shape identity and expression.”
