BESIEGED CS Ann Waiguru ‘SNEAKS’ out of the Country, spotted in Dubai enroute to Colombia

Devolution CS Anne Waiguru is in Dubai. Sources at the Devolution ministry has told Kenya Today that Waiguru left the country yesterday to represent President Uhuru in an energy forum. President Uhuru is also said to have given her two weeks ‘off’ as the most hard working CS had not gone for leave ever since becoming cabinet member.

Another source in Dubai told Kenya Today that he spotted her in a company of two others checking in an exclusive hotel (name withheld).

Ordinarily, Deputy President William Ruto represents the President in international errands of presidential significance but yesterday the roles were reversed as DP Ruto spent the whole day in Gikomba with Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko putting off an early morning fire which had gutted down several parts of the busy open market.

Waiguru is at the centre of a corruption storm involving devolution ministry with new leaks indicating over sh 19 billion may have been stolen under her watch. CORD Leader Raila Odinga has called for thorough investigations against her and a forensic audit be carried out in the ministry, especially its flagship project, NYS.

But Waiguru’s influence and power has humbled both government and opposition and save for Odinga, no one wants to directly mention her or connect her with a scandal that is deeply entrenched in her ministry and involving close associates.
