Tension is running high as shit hits the fan in Statehouse- the Economy is dead! With massive corruption engulfing all key arms of the government – the Executive and Parliament, key statehouse operatives are hard pressed to come up with solutions.T
The government is said to have lost billions in the devolution ministry, Lands, Health and Roads and Public Works.
Statehouse chief of staff Joseph Kinyua is alleged to have confessed that this is the lowest the economy has sunk not even in 1992 when Moi printed cash to defeat opposition by flooding cash.
Meanwhile government has put on hold all development projects, banks are collapsing, teachers salaries is already a headache and transfers to counties are done piece meal.
The economy is collapsing, yet Uhuru inherited a thriving economy from Kibaki. Uhuru has killed the Kenyan economy. Interest rates are skyrocketing as the govt tries to plug in a Sh600b budget hole by raising cash from the local market. The working class will be starved off of loans to buy real estate and start small business as the banks will prefer lending to the govt.
Touching the lifeline of the middle class will set the stage for regime collapse. No regime has brought suffering to the middle class and survived. Jubilee is without provocation, and by its own irresponsible management of the economy fomenting a revolution.
Yet Uhuru has no excuse to fail. He controls a majority in both chambers of parliament, and a very Jubilee friendly media, with journalists ever more scared of criticizing Jubilee for fear of being jailed using Jim Crow type of media laws. And so the economic crisis is a consequent of Uhuru’s incompetence and inability to leverage his political advantages to turn things around.
Every international praise you heard about Kenya is all a result of PR by paid lobbyists like London’s Blair and the Washington D.C. based Podesta group paid using taxpayer money to repair Uhuru shattered image abroad, which has been hurting in the wake of his case at the ICC. If you pay close attention those fake praises are dying away as the reality begins to set in, with IMF warning Uhuru to rein in on theft and conspicuous spending by his administration officials or risk losing donor funding.
These are signs of a collapsing regime. SGR employees are on strike as we speak, due to non payment, with civil servants in some departments not paid since Sept
