Raila: C J Mutunga Advised Petition Defence Lawyers To Seek Exclusion Of CORD Affidavit

Raila: C J Mutunga Advised Petition Defence Lawyers To Seek Exclusion Of CORD Affidavit

May 6, 2013

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga last week revealed that it was Chief Justice Willy Mutunga who advised petition defence (IEBC, Isaack Hassan and UhuRuto) teams to apply to the court seeking exclusion of CORD’s 900 page affidavit that contained damning evidence of the rigged presidential election.

If the allegation is true, it means thar Chief Justice acted as a consultant for the defence teams in a case he presided.

Prime Minister Odinga made the revelations at a breakfast meeting with Kenyans in London last week. Odinga detailed the evidence his team had and the reasons he felt the elections were stolen from him.  He encouraged CORD supporters to move on and accept the decisions though they may not agree with it.
