Deputy President William Ruto is expected in Kitui over the weekend in what pundits say is a move by the Jubilee regime to test the mood of the Kamba nation now reeling from the rejection of Amb. Dr Monica Juma and suspension of Lands Cs. Charity Ngilu.
Ngilu was the senior-most Kamba leader in Uhuru regime. Her appointment, opposed at first by DP William Ruto, was seen as reward for her ‘dumping’ CORD during the 2013 elections.
DP Ruto will be at St. Charles Lwanga church for a jubilee service.
Speculation is live that he may once again be attacked by bees especially if his trip is meant to divide the great people of Ukambani. Word on the ground is that Kenya Wildlife Service officers and bee experts from the Minstry of Agriculture will be on location just in-case their expertise will be required to neutralize the bees.
Previously DP Ruto has been stung by bees (unprovoked) in Kajiado and Kwale counties.
