A day after Deputy President William Ruto profusely apologized for dumping Kericho residents, locals are still bitter and insist they are ready to teach Jubilee a lesson on political arrogance.

We slept over what our beloved H.E DP Ruto said, we are not convinced with the reasons he gave for abandoning us, we are not for sweet nothings, telling us that more than five top government appointments went to the relatives of Charles Keter because they were qualified is sheer arrogance- how is it possible that in the entire county only Keter’s relatives are well educated and experienced? and to rub it in , he now wants that we elect Keter’s nephew as Senator, hiyo hapana! – Alex Langat a Kericho business man was quoted by a local Radio’s morning show

In Kericho town and across the tea plantations residents are making fun of the DP referring him as ‘Yule Jamaa wa TUMETENGA’ (Jubilee government has set aside funds for projects a b c d e …in Kericho), three years down the road nothing!

In his apology DP Ruto floated names of some imaginary enemies including; retired President Moi, CORD leader Raila Odinga and the Meru governor Peter Munya, who’s also the Chairman of Council of Governors. Ruto blamed Moi’s Gideon Moi and Governor Isaac Rutto for fueling rebellion in Kericho and wishing him ill luck at the ICC.

Meanwhile Jubilee Candidate Aaron Cheruyoit woke up to a lonely morning after his ground intelligence hinted that people are planning to boycott his scheduled events today. He was spotted waving to empty streets as locals went about their business. An event that was scheduled to start at 9am was put off to earlier afternoon- by which time locals will be done with farming chores
