SHEBESH trails as WANGA and LEY shine in Women Representatives survey.
Nairobi’s Rachael Shebesh is among the bottom ten worst performing Women Representatives in a latest survey by Infotrak.
Shebesh was ranked number 40 out of 47 with an approval rating of 43.2%. Tana River’s Halima Ware Duri came last with 39.8% while Homa Bay Women Rep Gladys Wanga came top with 68.1% followed by Samburu’s Maison Leshoomo with 63.0% and Joyce Lay of Taita Taveta with 60.4% in third position.
Interestingly when Shebesh was still in the same political camp with Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko, her approval rating was above 54.0% but her fortunes seems to have nose-dived after joining Maina Kamanda camp. The Maina Kamanda has been accused of plotting to lock out people from other tribes from winning leadership positions in Nairobi county, this has made the camp unpopular among the city residents has have decried the group of allocating Nairobi elective seats to JAP members in the 2017 polls.
Shebesh and Kamanda have joined hands to ensure Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero retains his seat while in public they pretend to support Dagoreti South MP Dennis Waweru for the Nairobi Gubernatorial seat in 2017.
The Infotrack scorecard analysed responses from 600 people per County and 28,200 adult Kenyans were interviewed between December 2014 and February 2015.
