Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has put DP Ruto on notice and promised him a serious defeat come 2022. Joho said the handshake between Raila and Uhuru should make Kenya an equal society.
Joho seemed to water down the handshake and did not project confidence that it will sort out issues affecting residents of Coast region.
“Handshake or no handshake, I (Joho) will still vie for the presidency in 2022”.
Addressing the public in Mombasa during the launch of an anti-malaria campaign in Mombasa, Joho exuded confidence that he would floor Deputy President William Ruto in the 2022 polls.
He also disclosed that he will traverse the country to consolidate his support and hunt for votes ahead of the 2022 elections.
Joho who recently returned to the country after a two month absence made it clear that despite the truce between Odinga and Kenyatta, he will not be silenced
