The much publicised Friday prayers for Governor Hassan Joho did not exactly go as per plan; Jubilee House Majority Leader Aden Duale and Interior Security CS Joseph Nkaisserry reportedly worked around the clock to have the event scuttled.

Hon Duale the senior most Muslim leader in Jubilee government (as Leader of Majority in the National Assembly he is ranked 3rd most powerful political figure) could not just sit and watch Governor Joho take over the leadership of about about 1.6million Muslim votes.

Duale and Nkaissery prevailed upon Governor Joho not to attend the prayers, they also called the organisers and warned them of serious consequences if they allowed the event to proceed. Embakazi MP Hon Sumra confirmed having received intimidating from Harembee house. Sumra briefed the media after concluding prayers outside thr Jamia Mosque.

The Jamia Mosque committee are also said to have received calls from Nkaisserry and Hon Duale forcing them to deny Joho supporters to the Mosque forcing Hon Sumra, Hon Aladwa, other organisers and Muslims to conduct dua/prayers right outside the Mosque.
