President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto were forced to change their campaign programme in Bomet County today at the last minute after realising that some areas which they were set to take their campaigns were now predominantly CCM zones.

According to those in charge of Jubilee campaign trail and itenary, the programme was Changed to avoid ugly scenes similar to what was witnessed in Kericho County on Thursday where the DP was jeered and heckled after his attempts to drum up support for Jubilee candidates vying for various elective positions in the August 8th General Election back fired on him after local residents rejected his plea.

In Bomet County today, UHURUTO skipped Bomet Central, Chebole and Kaplong both in Sotik constituency after they got information that the ground is hostile to the Jubilee brigade.

Earlier on, the Jubilee brigade were to travel by Road from Sotik to Bomet and campaign along the highway where they were expected to make several stopovers enroute to Bomet for their rally. However this did not work for them since Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) has taken over the area.

The duo and their brigade used choppers instead to campaign in some selected areas to avoid embarrassment unlike their previous campaign tours in other Counties where they travelled by road to address rallies and Several stopovers.

Uhuru and Ruto flew direct to Sotik Town from Sigor and later flew to Mogogosiek and ended up in Bomet Green Stadium after the programme was hurriedly Changed at the last minute to avoid to avoid more hostilities that had visited them during their campaigns in most parts of Rift Valley.
