City politician Emily Gesare has cautioned politicians especially those from the Jubilee coalition, against making unguarded derogatory statements on Prime Minister Raila Odinga. Addressing members of the Fourth Estate at a Nairobi Hotel, the aspiring women Rep noted that the Hon. Raila deserves respect given the contributions he has made to the growth of democracy in our country.
Madam Gesare said it was unfortunate that instead of delivering what they promised Kenyans, the Jubilee politicians always throw caution to wind to engage in name-calling or pull-him-down syndrome in the name of politics.
“The political atmosphere is so tensed that the Jubilee politicians have reverted to making hate speeches and insulting the Prime Minister. My position stands for unity and social justice. I believe Kenya is bigger and more important than any individual or political aspirationsâ€
“The President and his supporters must put the interest of the nation above all other interests. I therefore condemn the hate speeches and insult on Prime Minister Raila Odinga. I crave the indulgence of all Kenyans to work for peace and unity of this country,†Hon Gesare Said.
Concerning the current Nairobi women Rep, madam Gesare expressed dissatisfaction on her deafening silence. She also blamed her for failing to show leadership instead watching women sleep walk into trouble witnessed by rise in gender based violence.
On the issue of condoms for school kids, the lady displayed her disgruntlement saying the government has been rendered a monumental shame.
“It is unfortunate that the government has suddenly changed from free laptop to free love-top which is a fraud and dubious errand that typifies the death of leadership. The best way the government to put the primitive energy of our children is to give them balls to play so that when they tire, they go home and sleep†Added hon. Gesare.
She attributed the recent increase in sexual harassment cases especially by rouge legislators to their idleness and lack of drive to serve wananchi….The mps ,she said are directing their energies towards the wrong direction. If this continues without any action against them we will hold demos countrywide to express our dissatisfaction
