Retired President Moi has offered to support Amani coalition presidential candidate Musalia Mudavadi and promised to lead campaigns in the expansive Rift Valley. This came as no surprise as the former president’s party KANU is a leading member of the Amani coalition.
The former president said he was confident Amani would win all elective seats in Baringo County and beyond. He urged Mr Mudavadi to intensify his visits to the region especially in areas where he does not enjoy support.
President Moi’s son Gedion is the current KANU chairman and senate aspirant for Baringo county.
During the UDF’s national delegates conference at Bomas of Kenya the young Moi promised to support Musalia by all means necessary “kwa hali na mali” a clear indication then that the former first family could bank roll the UDF campaigns.
