The big question today is how ethical are multinational companies operating in Kenya? how can a CEO pocket a cool kshs. 2.3million when average employees only get 30k per month?
The widely circulated LEAKED SALARY SLIP of YU-mobile kenya country manager is an eye opener especially if it turns out to be true. We can not ascertain the authenticity of the slip independently, we wait for the company or Mr. Takur to deny of validate the claims.
Yu-Kenya is owned by Essar Telecom Kenya, and it is Kenya’s fourth mobile cellular network under the brand “yuMobileâ€, launched in December, 2008.
yuMobile achieved the fastest network rollout speed in the region, by achieving countrywide coverage in approximately 10 months from launch and currently, the network has a base of over 3 million subscribers and offers best in class rates, all these achievement of-course is a handwork of poorly paid employees.
here is a caption from their website: “yuMobile offers several innovative product and service offerings all targeted at making the subscribers life easier and more convenient”…..hmmm how about that marketing line? what do they do to their employees?
