Jubilee presidential candidate Uhuru Kenyatta presented his papers to the IEBC today Wensday 30th January. IEBC has cleared his candidacy to vie for the Presidency effectively putting his name on the ballot come Match 4th.
Uhuru candidature spurred controversy with human rights activists seeking court orders to bar him from seeking the presidency. Uhuru together with his running mate William Ruto are accused of crimes against humanity at the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
The ICC trials are set to begin in April and confusion as how the two will manage the affairs of the state in case they are elected president and deputy, the ICC trials will be long and often torturous , they require the accused to be in court everyday till the conclusion of the case
