Top lawyers have gone through PM Raila’s carefully worded Eurobond statement that contained list of alleged ‘persons of interest’ in the loss of Eurobond proceeds have arrived at a conclusion that there is little chance for anybody to successfully sue for defamation; reason being >>> Raila in his statement and utterances did NOT call anybody a ‘thief’ BUT just persons of interest.
Infact it is the media that rushed to call the seven persons in the Eurobond list ‘thieves’ and therefore high chance that one Mohammed Nyaoga may succeed in suing media houses like KTN that on live broadcasts referred the seven as thieves.
The persons Raila named at best should proof that they got nothing to do with the loss of Eurobond proceeds and all will be find, its upon them to clense themselves.
Meanwhile here is how one pundit captured Mohammed Nyaoga’s threat to sue Rt Hon Raila
ON MOHAMED NYAOGA. If you see him tell him to read this. In quick successions, you head of EcoBank then move to Central Bank. EcoBank is owned by Qatar Bank. Qatar Bank is the Bank that was brought into the Eurobond saga for reasons that remain ‘mysterious’ to date. Qatar Bank raised no money but remains big player in the Eurobond deal. And when we say you may have information, you cry defamation. This is going well. It’s better than NYS. This is Kenya’s Watergate moment. We can see the end. As matter of fact, Friday is a court day, instead of issuing threats and explanations, why doesn’t rush into court and get the courts to handle his defamation suit as urgent?
