Cardinal John Njue is opposed to the upcoming polio immunisation. He also opposed tetanus injection given to women alleging that it was a birth control. Wait a minute!
Njue is unmarried and has no kids, at least none that the common public is aware of. As he engages in these trivialities and stupidest conversations, he is quiete over massive corruption, pouching of elephants, cronyism, tribalism and publicly, without shame, supported Mwai Kibaki after he rigged the 2007 elections and even had the audacity to tell Raila Odinga and us in opposition, to “accept defeat”.
In 2013, Njue again reared his ugliest head when he supported Uhuru Kenyatta even after it became clear that elections were tampered with.
We must inform Njue that corruption, which he is mum about, kills more lives, dreams and future of many Kenyans than the polio vaccine he is parroting about. This man is a cardinal but I doubt his closeness to God.
The challenge we are facing is that when we rebuke actions by folks like Njue and his ilk, his tribesmate wrongly and hastely prosecute us for tribalism – see the irony – then resort to their vernacular- in their tribal cocoons – to tear into our reputation and character. But it must be known that if you defend him as a tribe, then we will fiercely criticise you as a tribe. So gerarahia!
By the way, have you ever heard Njue(if you like call him cardinal) condemn tribalism perpetuated by his earthly god – Uhuru Kenyatta?
