H.E Uhuru Kenyatta,I will be straight to the point!
For the wananchi to support your excellency on this teacher pay issue, kindly do the right thing. According to your numbers 568 billion is shared among 680,000 employees yourself included…..that translates to 835,000 shillings annually and eventually 70,000 per month, let’s start the salary debate for everyone right away!.
This means we should keep the MCAS salary at 70k and maybe the MPS salary at 140k……yourself should not earn more than 500k. We are yet to see the value that senators, women reps and nominated members of parliament bring to our country….its the high time we scrapped those positions!
On the issue of women representation in parliament, at a salary of 140k per mp, we can comfortably handle the 1/3 gender requirement……This salary should be paid on actual parliamentary sittings for work actually done!
Parastatals should follow suit, the people we employ to run our institutions should not fleece those organisations by taking meetings to expensive beach hotels to attract paydiems, those institutions that do not make profit should be privatised or merged with others.
Kindly your excellency give us a minister for devolution and planning, this will bring harmony and service delivery to counties, this will improve revenue collection at County level and competitiveness, and my off the cuff, once in a month sit with your governors at state house and give them an opportunity to speak to you on a friendly terms.
Reshuffle your cabinet ASAP, create a few more ministries and if you can, bring to your cabinet a few old people with a political background, do not be happy with a cabinet that fears you, create one that can talk to you without fear but with respect. Every 3 months each cabinet secretary should present a progress report to the country to measure the progress of your government.
Help your brother Ruto to get out of ICC. Reduce foreign travel, stay home a little longer and sort out the local issues before dealing with foreign matters. Create intrest in local politics that’s the only way you can be in touch with the ordinary kenyan. In that light half of your kitchen cabinet should be politicians. Give us a cabinet that you would be comfortable being judged against, after all this is your government and we never voted for the cabinet, we voted for you!
Anyone mentioned in any corrupt activities should not be in any government institution, set the precedent and we shall all live by it!. Promote legislation that will help kenyans recover any of their lost monies in corruption scandals whether that money is here or in tax protected countries.
On that note I choose to support your sentiments your excellency, don’t let me down I beg.
