Ever since this country obtained her independence 51 years ago, it is quite apparent that this regime is the most ridiculous compared to the previous ones. With roughly two years down the line, the rate at which corruption is spiraling is really mesmeric. As far as life is concerned, it has been a grim two year stint in an economic prison.
The masks that Uhuru and Ruto wore after rechristening themselves as digital, have worn out and there is nowhere to hide. Sadly, they are venting their anger on unfriendly media outlets. The innocence that was once encompassed in the spirit of vision 2030 has been claimed by the treacherous leadership.
If you ask Uhuru and William, they’ll inevitably attest that theirs is the best government in the planet despite its poorly remunerated civil servants. After successfully creating a thousand and one political snake pits, the two comrade-in-arms have reverted to PR and forgotten the issues that are eating Kenyans.
The deputy President for instance, is the most successful Commander-in-speech. This mealy-mouthed politician makes a complete prat of himself without preamble. William is a poor student of historical precedents for example when other Kenyans have been innocent bystanders watching from the sidelines as a particular community greedily sucks the government resources.
On the other hand, while Ruto goes on with his ‘axis of evil’ speech, the President is busily employing members of his community. Before forming the Jubilee coalition, Ruto was forewarned that Uhuru would run the most personalized and centralized decision making- making government, perhaps ever. It’s all about Uhuru, his intelligence, his judgment, his defiance in making to making helpful strategies, (of what needs to be done and how) and also his cluelessness on how to get things done.
Ask almost every other Kenyan about the National Security Council, and they will tell you that process is constipated because of the Mt. Kenya Mafia for control and hard hoc decisions. If Kenyatta wants to shake things up and achieve some accomplishments in his last two years, he’s got to shake himself first.
