This Man ELIUD OWALO: Here is What Many Didn’t Know about The leading Kibra MP Aspirant 2017
By Comrade Alberto Nyakundi Amenya – Banana Pedlar, the County of Kisii
Hon. Eliud Owalo., the incoming Member of Parliament for Kibra Constituency is not only a blessing to his constituents, but also the entire country. Kibra will be fluky and lucky to have such a phenomenal leader for a Member of Parliament. Without a doubt, the change that the people Kibra have been yearning for is finally here. Owalo is that change.
Owalo is like a rock that is in the middle of the ocean which does not fear rain. Despite the fact that this great marvel has not yet taken over at the helm of Kibra affairs, the 5 star works he has selflessly done speaks volumes; but the most iconic is recent disbursement of Ksh1.3 Million cheques to youths for a skill acquisition and sustainable empowerment. So far, the significant work done by this studious leader showcases his readiness to unlock the people of Kibra from the chains of perpetual slavery, poverty and economic captivity.
Eliud’s astuteness confirms that he is the true son of his father Archbishop Mwalimu Gideon Charles Owalo of Nomiya Church, an outstanding scholar who taught and nurtured great personalities. Some of Mwalimu Owalo students include but not limited to Prime Minister Raila Odinga whom he taught at Maranda High School and former National Assembly Deputy Speaker Hon Joab Omino whom he taught at Maseno School. His other tutees include High Court Judge Nicholas Ombija, former internal security Assistant Minister Hon Orwa Ojode, and Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga.
As Henry Ford once warned, one cannot build a reputation on what he is going to do. Owalo’s reputation comes from what he has already done. This industrious servant of the people never confuses movement with action. Just like Galileo Gallilei believed, Owalo does not teach people anything; he only helps them discover it within themselves.
Just like Mahatma Gandhi, this consummate politician believes that there is enough in Kibra for everybody’s need, but not for everyone’s greed. For Hon Owalo, 2017 represents a glorious chapter in the annals of his struggle to make life more abundant for the great and expressive people of Kibra. Mheshimiwa Owalo must be commended for his doggedness and courage that has endeared him to the hearts of many Kenyans.
True, hon. Owalo’s disappointments towards fighting for the people of Kibra have been many. Nonetheless, his victory in 2017 will surely assuage all that. Mheshimiwa Owalo has shown that with determination, prayers and hard work, one can achieve the impossible. In his revelations, Mheshimiwa has equally demonstrated that preparation meeting opportunity is the true definition of luck and not luck conferred by accident of a nomenclature.
This man has bravely eliminated chance from acts of political re-engineering. In the place of luck and chance, Owalo has substituted vision, doggedness, resilience, action, and proper strategy. As the wise say: “The harder the struggle, the sweeter the victory.†Owalo’s victory come 2017 will signpost the triumph of the people of Kibra over poverty and joblessness.
I strongly believe that Owalo’s rich pedigree of integrity vision and courage cannot but elevate Kibra to greater heights and make the denizens of Kibera respected and admired world over. As this valiant man prepares to assume leadership as Member of Parliament for Kibra, the challenge of poverty and insecurity must be vigorously tackled. Owalo must not leave anything to chance. The stars in him must be appropriately deployed to commence the hard struggle of restoring the dignity of the people of Kibra.
Owalo has promisingly assured that every business will be done with the decorum, justice, fitness, equity and fairness it deserves.
In his daily speeches, soft spoken down to earth Hon. Owalo has conceded that he’ll work for those who’ll vote for him as well as those who’ll not vote for him and even those who’ll not vote at all. In the same vein, he will be for everybody and he will be for nobody.
Owalo’s success come 2017 will successfully upturn the lies that the incumbent – who prefer stomach infrastructure to economic infrastructure, – has successfully propagated. He will ensure that even the grassroots costermongers in the streets peddle their commodities.
Owalo must not go to sleep. The people of Kibra must seize this moment and say “never again†to brutal subversion of their valid wishes and aspiration true economic emancipation. If not, they will have themselves to blame, like Shakespeare said in Julius Caesar: “The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves.†This is your chance; let Kibra be our guiding light in 2017.
Long story short, Kibrans are more than ever before determined to vote out lackadaisically behaved ivy-league demagogue. They are ready to expel poverty, insecurity, false prophets and their gospel of deceit. They are set to openly reject government machinations and trickery imported by a clueless leadership that neither know the difference between write and right. Through their incoming adept Member of Parliament, they are ready to defy sluggard leaders who are lazy, not committed to party ideology and whose slant view of issues seriously needs a commonsense revolution.
Before I rest my case, I wish to accentuate that under the stewardship of Hon. Owalo, the great people of Kibra will be ready to defy any agent of harassment and dehumanization. They will inalienably elect – hon. Eliud Owalo – a leader of their choice under a free, fair and peaceful election.
