Members of the ELDORET WAKULIMA HOUSING TENANTS WELFARE GROUP are crying foul following the cancellation of their rightful housing tender award by unscrupulous businessmen and senior politicians. Members are now calling on the President of the Republic of Kenya to intervene and stop the unjustifiable tendering that has been directed otherwise.
Reliable sources indicate that Deputy President William Ruto through Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago is alleged to be the force behind their quandaries.
According to the members, they were promised to be given first priorities when selling houses given that they have occupied them for many years, but the DP intervened and everything changed. It is alleged that Ruto has influenced the selling by doubling the prices so as ‘his people’ will benefit from the extras. In that case, they have resolved to evict the original tenants so as to sell the houses to outsiders in order to avoid complains. Attached here is the letter of complaint sent to various key arms of the government.
