I have this to tell the former Prime Minister (former because we have the current, the Queen Bee). This message should also sink into the ears of his troops and handlers.
bThe next election wont be won on the ballot. NO! It will be worthless for anyone to stay super glued on his/her/their TV screens foolishly holding ones breath waiting for the winner to be announced. Two things will determine the winner of the 2017 elections.
One, the level of preparedness. This will entail workable strategies and resources (money) allocated for campaigns. Whoever is mean will automatically lose, your popularity not withstanding. Two, how one will deploy human resource to protect his/her votes at the grassroots.
Raila must be aware by now that the JAP side will recruit and deploy NYS disguised as their agents as the security officers will be preserved to deal with anything funny that may follow the elections. They will be in civilian clothes. Some will be employed by the IEBC as polling clerks and Presiding Officers. This is the danger that lies ahead.
For Raila to counter this, he must invest heavily in MIB and ensure its capability surpasses or equals that of the NYS. There is no policy existent or nonexistent on the globe that will woo any voter.
How for example will you sell your policies to those idiots fighting alcohol with pangas and rungus? Are the alcoholics ready to listen to anything or anybody apart from their commander who is currently sitting his ass pretty on a seat that he never won but stole? there is no known scientific method to do that.
I have always said that Raila can beat Uhuru mercilessly on the ballot if he put his acts together. But if he concentrates on silly topics like attacking juniour government labourers like DP William Ruto on a daily basis, asking for dialogue every time a crisis surfaces and vouching for the disbandment of the IEBC like it’s the sole impediment to his presidential bid, then he should forget the seat forever.
This is my informed opinion, you can disagree with me.
