How the rain pelts the trees, leaving their leaves wet and glistening, the barks on their stems, moist and slippery, the branches swaying and writhing in ecstasy, the entire organism shaking, pulsing and exploding.
And then the rhythmic pitter-patter as the rain falls down, with the wind moaning and breathing heavy in accompaniment, and finally thunder ROARS, BOOMS and CLAPS, and then…. Silence.
They lied to us in school. This phenomenon called rain has nothing to do with moisture in the sky.
It is the heavens having sex with the earth.
