Of Exams graft:
If we tolerate exams leakages, we really are embedding graft as a national “value”. In many instances, recent kcse was a mockery, wrecking genuine hopes of innocent students.
KCPE is being leaked. When we insist drastic deterrent action against sleaze, ethnic bigotry, political opportunism, chicanery & blatant diatribe unleashed. Genuine voices are fought.
President should declare corruption a national disaster; be merciless to perpetrators and sympathisers. Anyone trivialising war on graft by sponsoring reactionaries: you’re on the wrong side of history.
But we in Jubilee also are turning this disaster into a joke, reverting to “counter-campaign” lies. We’re turning a disaster into a sour drama. We owe H.E Uhuru Kenyatta our Republic’s President sincere, frank, bold unequivocal support, private & public advise to address this problem. We owe it to ourselves, Kenya. Sideshows won’t do. Insults won’t, too.
As President Barack Obama said, to wish your President to fail is to fail your country. Equally, to stay silent amidst failures of your country’s systems is to fail self, to fail your ultimate leadership.
