Alumasa: ‘Mudavadi is a Vampire Politician’

December 3, 2013

By Luyali Alumasa

I would rather have Robert Mugabe for 100 years as president than Mudavadi for a minute. This man has been in places of favour and power for years but there is totally nothing to show for it other than his chubby cheeks and luxurious belly.

He is a ‘Vampire Politician’ who cannot be trusted with taking care of any neck be it that of a
hen or a Luhya.

He feeds on the blood of opportunity to sustain his relevance in politics. He acts naive just as a
centipede acts dead but he is lethal and dangerous.

Long before you notice there will teeth marks on your neck and you will be down and dead for blood
deficiency.

For a man who someone had to die for him to enter into politics it is obvious that his trail is full of darkness.

His father had to die for him to get the opportunity to enter into politics and since then he
has witnessed the destruction of many as he remained silent and praised those who stood in the way of democracy and economic empowerment.

You cannot attribute anything good to Musalia. His name cannot be inscribed on the same plague as those of Martin Shikuku, Kijana Wamalwa and Masinde Muliro.

It would be a political sin to even imagine having a monument of him in the center of Luhya land and if such a sin is committed then his statue will have him holding a panga against the necks of those who stand for a better life for the people of Western.

A selfish and self centred politician, Musalia has only managed to keep his businesses afloat through his years in politics.

He has remained adrift when it comes to development issues that involve the whole community.
Whenever he stands up it is not because of his people but his future.

It is rumoured that his difference with people like Jirongo began way back in 1992 when he convinced Moi not to listen to Jirongo who had proposed that the government employs 3000 people
from Luhya land as a reward for the support Moi got in 1992.

Mudavadi thought this would mean Jirongo becomes the King of Luhyaland. Jirongo ended up being snubbed while Mudavadi began his business empire.

In 2002 while Kenya yearned for change from Kanu, Mudavadi saw an opportunity of becoming Vice President for 40 days. These were like the proverbial 40 days of a thief and he was caught and swept by the tide of change to the shows of political oblivion.

While he was perishing he saw Raila and knowing Raila to be soft at heart and sympathetic, he took the opportunity to cry out for help. Raila saw him as a prodigal son but Mudavadi had better ideas.

He had come home to steal and leave.

Since he cannot be associated with good and clean things, going back to the pigs was better for him.

I have dared his supporters to stand in any town in Western and show me a kiosk, cattle dip, kindergarten or anything that Mudavadi has donated to the people all these years.

All you hear are stories of how he influenced the sacking of his own people or worked with evil forces to halt development projects in Kakamega , Bungoma, Busia etc

As the Bungoma senatorial election approaches, Mudavadi sees an opportunity to sip the Luhya blood and feed his masters. He sees it as an opportunity to bargain for his business empire to receive political favours.

He sees it as an opportunity to claim for his reward for playing the ‘spoiler’ in the March Elections.

He does not care about the poor roads in Bungoma, the unemployment, the insecurity, and the inadequate schools.

All he wants are the necks of the Bungomans.
