This is part II of the Digital vs Analogy generation of politicians- analysis https://www.kenya-today.com/opinion/uhuru-kenyatta-jubilee-alliance-digital-2013-campaigns
So the choice in 2013 is about a Hitler like leader versus a Mandelaisque leader who literally stood in the line of the bullets aimed at Kenyans in the single party KANU era. It’s a choice between a leader who chose the path of enlarging his bloodily acquired business empire inheritance versus the one who spent his most productive years in jail under the detention act era.
It’s about rejecting the condescending thanklessness of a freeloader who is reaping where he did not sow It’s an election that answers the question whether its respectful to puke on the shoes of those who paved the way for Uhuru to be able to run for presidency in his 40s in 2002 and then in his 50s in 2012.
Digital vs analogue is the ignorance and arrogance of a neophyte argument fronted by an opportunist who cared less about the plight of their jobless and oppressed generation who lined up waiting for a kilo or rationed sukari na unga in the 80s and 90s.
Uhuruto siamese duo do not realize that Raila chose to fix the system first- by earning himself a place on the ballot. At the ages Uhuru and Ruto entered parliament, Raila wasn’t allowed to even be on any ballot, even a delegate of a party! The arrogant and co-dependent duo chose the easier path of pandering to baba na mama Jogoo party while Raila chose the path of confronting sometimes insurmountable odds. He went to prison while Uhuru sagged his pants in Amherst, Massachusetts.
Kaggia, JM Kariuki and Pio Gama Pinto were all mistreated for speaking against wealth embezzlement by Jomo Kenyatta. Kennyatta’s land grabbing is the reason we have squatters or internally displaced persons across the country. Infact some analysts argue that had it not been for Kenyatta moving his tribesmen into Kalenjin ancestral land in the 60s, Rift Valley would have been spared the clashes that rocks the region since 1992. But Uhuru is at The Hague for attempting to shield a legacy of the independence regime from being tampered with.
Infact, if the 9th Kenyan province title deed to the Kenyattas were to be redistributed to Kenyans, land problems in Kenya would be over. There’s no land shortage in Kenya, the problem is imbalance. What we have is Kenyatta and his in-laws, the Koinanges allocating themselves massive land resources thus denying the masses and the squatters land. The solution to Kenya’s land problems is in Uhuru leading the Kenyatta family by example into surrendering part of his inheritance to the Kenyan people.
Kenyatta forcefully displaced people from Central Kenya so he could grab their land. These are the people he moved to Rift Valley Kenya. Uhuru knows how his inheritance was acquired, but instead he flashes this illegally acquired inheritance around, and even misleading Forbes into embarrassingly publishing that his is wealth acquired by his own sweat.
Not even Kenyatta sweat for his own wealth. He grabbed most of it. People like TJ Mboya, JM Kariuki, Pinto and so on went to their graves early for raising questions about the wealth that Uhuru inherited. Uhuru is heir to bloodily acquired wealth but for which he has never found the audacity to express remorse.
Even the slave owners’ descendants, unlike Uhuru Kenyatta eventually apologized for the behavior of their ancestors. The men who built America like Andrew Carnegie and Ohio Oilman a.k.a. John D. Rockefeller apologized for stepping on many toes and actually committed a huge part of their wealth to charity.
