Macharia Gaitho (Columnist Nation Media), don’t fool us nigga
By Jim Bonnie
Gaitho, when history will finally be documented, you will pass out as one incorrigible editorial columnist who unashamedly promoted journalism of tribal braggadocio.
Macharia Gaitho, it is beyond doubt that your editorial oped titled “Lesson to our leaders: The company you keep says quite a bit about you” was nourished with malevolence and tribal perfectionism.
What you pinned is a TNA generated reasoning clad with some tribal jingoistic mien then cleverly packaged to gullible Daily Nation newspaper readers as an independently generated opinion.
What you call an opinion is perforated with factual irrelevancies and lopsided analysis geared towards branding Hon. Raila Odinga and those who surround him as worthless idiots.
Macharia, the title of your oped is blatantly misleading in contrast to the body of the article. While you intended to portray that those surrounding both Raila and TNA party leader, Uhuru Kenyatta, are dimwits, you ended up disparaging the name of Raila’s men while codling those surrounding Uhuru.
Kenyans like me are wondering when you will one day use your brain to pin a sensible article without your reasoning being guided by the powerful forces from statehouse who mostly happen to be your tribesmen.
In your article, you erroneously claim that Dr. Oburu attacked Shiro. Macharia, stop practicing lazy journalism guided by tribal emotions. If at your age, experience and position you can classify what Oburu said as an attack, then we are left with no option but to say authoritatively that tribal slavery is the worst form of dictatorship.
Macharia, we will not be conned by your pretense. And you are not alone; there are crusades of tribal bigoted journalists from your Kikuyu tribe who have perfected the art of witch-haunt on opposition politicians who have stood strong with Raila over years.
As I tell you that your days are numbered, I also inform you that you shouldn’t expect us to swallow such crap either now or in the future.
