Lawyer Donald Kipkorir is now advising Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission vice chair to yield to statehouse pressure and vacate her job as a commissioner with security of tenure and instead take a junior position as deputy ambassador to a far country -Brasil.
Ms Keino is rumoured to have protested at how Statehouse was forcing EACC to cook malicious corruption allegations against Isaac Ruto and other top Kalenjin officials in the ongoing purge against corruption. She told local media that she is under pressure from statehouse to resign.
The well connected lawyer tells Ms Keino to just throw in the towel, if statehouse is after getting rid of her it will will succeed and no law is big enough not to be circumvented by the regime…..
Here is Donald’s candid letter.
Open Letter To Irene Keino, Vice Chair, EACC
My Dear Irene,
I read in the papers that State House offered you posting to Brazil as our Ambassador in lieu of your resignation from EACC. As my personal friend, I offer this free public advice. When a Government is intend on doing something, it will do it in the fullness of time. If State House has decided to disband EACC, for sure it will. Only a matter of time. Once EACC has completed investigations on the List of Shame, its walls will read: Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin! Take the diplomatic posting, for EACC end is nigh! At personal level, I will get a chance to visit Brazil, and experience its samba festival, relax in its Cocacabana Beaches, climb up the Christ the Redeemer Statue and mmmmh, admire her pretty women!
