Chris Kirubi says He Is Confused How To Respond To Barrack Obama Invitation
In a fit hubris, maverick trader Chris Kirubi has posted on the Social Networks a very interesting post. First, he says has been invited by Barack Obama to meet him in Senegal or whatever. Then he says, he does not know what to do. Well two things: Either he wants to impress President Uhuru Kenyatta or President barack Obama. Either way, DJ CK, choices have consequences!!
“After reflecting hard on the invitation by the organizers of Barack Obama’s visit to Africa by passing Kenya, I’m just wondering if I’m any more special than all the other Kenyans. I seriously feel like I can only do what he has done to Kenya. Should I not skip the invitation in solidarity with all Kenyans who have been ignored on his trip to Africa and more so to his ancestorial home? Does it make sense going to meet him in other people’s country? I am very proud to be Kenyan and hopefully one day, Barack Obama will also be very proud to have Kenyan roots in his blood.â€
Meanwhile Star newspaper’s Jillo Kadida, one of the toughest reporters in the judiciary beat, updated her Facebook account.
Chief Justice Willy Mutunga leaves the country tomorrow for Dakar, Senegal, to attend a meeting with US President Barack H. Obama alongside 11 other chief justices from Africa. The invitation to the meeting was relayed through the US Embassy in Nairobi and signed by Ambassador Robert F. Godec. The US Embassy has offered to meet the costs of the trip. The meeting between the African chief justices and President Obama is expected to focus on the role of the judiciary in democratisation.
