This K24 TV must be managed by the most colourless and clueless managers and staff in the whole world. Although their major competitors are essentially off air, courtesy of a self-induced switch off, K24 is nowhere.
K24 cannot even be seen or felt. Just take a look at social media; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram et al, K24 is virtually absent. The 3 musketeers, owned operated and controlled by only 6 families still rule the virtual space and are on top of things in terms of public mis-information and mass propaganda.
Not even support by Digital Signal Distributors like StarTimes Kenya & GOtv Kenya who are telling their subscribers to catch news through K24 can help this Tv Station. I am wondering whether the MediaMax Group has a CEO or a Marketing Manager.
Have those who are paid to do these jobs ever heard of brand recognition; presence, imagery and symbolism? When a market leader goes lame, it is the onus of a follower to offer itself as a reliable, viable, dependable & responsible alternative.
K24, just like one ever struggling Telco will never achieve this, not even if the 3 musketeers remain off air for 12 months. No wonder upstarts like Ebru TV can so easily upstage K24 which was rudely hoisted on us with a lot of pomp and noise. But it is all nothing but hot air, but then; empty cans do indeed make the most noise!
