BELLICOSE DIKEMBE DISEMBE BLASTS BONIFACE MWANGI’S HYPOCRITICAL GRANDSTANDING IN DEVASTATING PIECE

By Shem Beverton Mukalo, Cobbler.

The relationship between Dikembe Disembe and Boniface Mwangi, long characterized by high tension and competing convictions, yesterday hit a new low, threatening to spiral out of control. In another trenchant, slam-dunk,rim-rattling piece that set social media platforms afire for hours on end, Dikembe Disembe raised a string of damning questions on Boniface Mwangi’s moral authority to comment on issues of national significance. The unflattering salvos, fired in quick and brutal succession, were prompted by Mwangi’s insistence on knowing the fate of the account opened by CORD luminaries in solidarity with teachers; insistence that Dikembe rubbished as outrageously hypocritical, fraudulent and morally questionable.

” While I have often told you here that Mr. Mwangi is a fraud, I didn’t tell you he is also a scam.” He wrote of Boniface Mwangi.
In the strongly worded piece, Dikembe charged that Boniface Mwangi was in the business of blindly bashing the opposition, in a partisan bid to advance the agenda of the misfiring Jubilee government.

” He didn’t castigate the government for arresting peaceful demonstrators. Like the Gaithos and Mutigas of this world, Mwangi’s script is very simple: constantly show the opposition is not an alternative even if the government has failed.”He continued.
Dikembe also sought to quell any fears about the safety of the donations, and assure the public that all the money collected would be given to teachers.
“What we collected we shall deliver to teachers. Every shilling. If Mr. Mwangi thinks his donation is too critical that he can now harangue us over it, let him tell us how much it was – we shall refund.”he wrote.
In a final reputation-destroying punchline, Dikembe mused that Boniface Mwangi was too obsessed with his “celebrity status” to think rationally about topical issues affecting Kenyans, and lacked any moral basis to demand accountability.

I hear in Mr. Mwangi’s PAWA254, his wife is the accountant/treasurer, such a low feat for a man who thinks he has the moral authority to demand accountability.

While Dikembe’s broadside reflects the conflicting visions separating the two,it also gives voice to the moral questions many have harboured over Mwangi’s activism.
