Yes, Uhuru was NOT invited to Mandela’s funeral, Tanzania’s JAKAYA KIKWETE representing E.Africa

As we reported last week, president Uhuru Kenyatta was NOT welcome to the Mandela funeral happening today in Qunu, South Africa.

Kenya’s ambassador to South Africa told the Standard newspaper reporter that the South African goverment had encouraged Uhuru to attend the public memorial service at FNB stadium as the funeral service at Qunu will only be for special friends of the late Freedom Idon.

From East African, president Jakaya Murisho Kikwete got a rare invite to join the close family and friends in Qunu village. Among those in attendance is the hier to the UK throne Prince Charles, sir Richard Branson, Rev Jesse Jackson, the Netherlands’ Queen Beatrix, Oprah Winfrey, Jacob Zuma among other special friends.
