Deputy president William Ruto was left red faced in unfamiliar territory when he visited Kiambu county to oversee development projects initiated by the national government.
Area leaders decided to skip the function and he was only accompanied by Thika town MP Alice Ng’ang’a by virtue of being the area mp perhaps the replica of what happened to Raila Odinga in period leading to 2013 general election- this speaks volumes for Ruto who has been promised support come 2022.
Being the deputy president, you’d expect key area leaders to attend his official function but that did not happen.
When reached for comment,Kiambu governor William Kabogo said that he was not invited and that he was in Gatundu south to open aMatatu terminus that is worth 167 million and it needed his physical presence.
Even the outspoken Gatundu south legislature Moses Kuria was nowhere to be seen yet Ruto campaigned for him vigorously.
Is it ok to say Ruto has been bitten by Uhuru dogs or just Ruto was bitten by his own dogs in Kiambu?
