Equity Bank CEO Dr. James Mwangi was among top Kenyan big vegetables who could not make it to Obama meetings when the US President toured Kenya.
The CEO of Kenya’s largest bank (sic) came late to the two scheduled meetings where he was to meet Obama and was turned away.
At the United Nations Complex at Gigiri, Dr. Mwangi skipped the event altogether when he couldn’t make it past security guards. At Kasarani, he arrived 10 minutes before Obama arrived but guests were requested to arrive at least 30 minutes before. Attempts by local police to ‘introduce’ him to the Americans failed as he was turned away for lateness.
