The burial of former chief of the General Staff Gen. Mulinge in Machakos County provided a huge momentum at national level when crowds passionately cheered Cord leader Raila Odinga’s call for national dialogue in county which Gov Mutua is managing like his personal property.
Already, several MCAs have differed with Mutua’s iron-fist grip on public policy in the county with several leaders openly dismissing him as Public Relations dictator. Also, several top executive members have resigned under protest in what they term as Mutua’s Jubilee dictatorial tendencies.
The crowds in Machakos cheered wildly as CORD leader Raila Odinga told Uhuru Kenyatta to accept national dialogue. CORD intends to visit Machakos in the coming week to pitch for national dialogue and debunk perceptions that the leaders and several residents of the county who voted Raila Odinga almost to a man are gravitating towards the Jubilee government.
