Hague based Deputy President William Ruto was a happy man on Monday afternoon after ICC Prosecutor’s witness 326 turned out to be a hostile witness to the prosecutor, it is not clear if the witness is one of those who had been “treated nicely” by ICC’s most wanted journalist Walter Barasa.
Later Ruto was spotted enjoying the peace and safety of the Dutch city as he took to the streets without any security detail, the DP was accompanied by his sidekick Kericho senator Charles Keter and his Baringo counterpart Gideon Moi.
Ruto a known workholic is finding himself idle every earlier evening-a good thing perhaps for Wife mama Rachel, back home Ruto is up 5am and returns back home past 10 pm owing to his busy schedule and other business interests.
Despite the stress from the trial proceedings, Ruto is relaxing well, perhaps a break he so much needs.
Only worry is that nobody is giving him any regular updates on progress back home, statehouse doesn’t seem to be bothered with him, he relies heavily Intern TV streaming, quite frustrating!
It is said that Ruto could not maintain the high costs of the fuel guzzling Taxis’, it was too expensive, he is only dropped and picked, no standby VIP taxis, the honeymoon with the embassy is over, he must pay from his pocket, a thing the boy from Kamagut village is finding to be very expensive.
ION, Ruto is now officially classified as a diaspora, the Kenyans in the diaspora especially those in Holland must be happy to have one of their own as a deputy president, he pays rent in the HAGUE, lives in the hague and is like he works at the ICC , hmmm Ruto now understands the challenges of the diaspora community, and may he is already in the mailing list of Kenyans in the diaspora, the fact that he could NOT pay his taxi bills is typical of a fresher Diasporian!
With Ruto being resident at the Hague it is very likely that he will use his tribal numbers to push for the Kenyans in the diaspora to vote, perhaps it is a good idea for Kenyans in Netherlands to elect him their chair.
Director of Diaspora Affairs may consider getting off Facebook and doing some tangible work, having his boss as a diaspora is check enough for Itumbi to work hard and soon their shall be results sooner than his foes (if any) may have thought.
