Lawyers representing President Uhuru struggled to answer simple questions and even resorted to telling lies at the Supreme, thanks to analogy judiciary who were tricked to accept outright lies especially on matters relating to technology (IEBC servers)… but for this one issue the judges pressed and were suprised at how lawyer Macharia appearing for Uhuru fumbled on a simple question, it is not easy to defend riggi ng.
Sample also this exchange between senior counsel Muite and the Judges:
Muite: With regard to forms 34s, the requirement is for the form to be signed. There is no requirement for the security features.
Maraga: With regard to what you said about regulations 79 and 83 on security features on those forms, it is not a requirement of the law?
Muite: Yes! It is not a requirement of the law!
Maraga: But did these forms have security features?
Maraga: If those forms had security features, then all forms should have those features?
Muite: Abundance of caution!
Muite: The commission out of abundance of caution are the ones who designed the security features.
Muite: Yes! And my Lords we have explanations for this only that there wasnt enough time…..you know…..because when you scan a copy you actually lose some of the security features…….
Lenaola: But Mr. Muite, before you move, how do you explain Nyali in that form?….and the serial number or lack of it? What does it mean?
Muite: If I had time I would take instructions……
(Laughter in the court)…..Jubilee lawyers shaking heads in frustrations…….
