After taking social media by storm, Raila’s trusted aide Silas Jakakimba took to the grassroots for his senate campaigns yesterday 10th Decmber 2014. In a show of his groundsman skills the launch was attended by thousands of Homa Bay residents.

So far Jakakimba is the only aspirant who has held a massive event in the county since IEBC set the date for the by election. The successful launch puts to shame the Facebook haters who have been doubting his mobilizing skills and puts pressure on the the 78 or so delegates to nominate him as the ODM candidate at the county electoral college/party delegates meeting next week.
In the photo above Jakakimba is explaining the role of the senate and how it relates to County government. The aspirants were taken to task on their bid by elders and ODM branch leadership to explain the role of senators and how it relates to county development (devolution). The elders present were amazed how Jakakimba made it very simple the understand devolution. Other aspirants just mubbled and were not very clear.
The youthful Moses Kajwang’ failed to attend Homa Bay consultative forum a move that gave Jakakimba more bonga points.
Jakakimba is an advocate of the high court of Kenya and a PhD candidate with a focus in governance.
